Primal, dark, soulful, fleshy , chaotic and passionate are just a few words to describe the female rock trio known as The Gorgon. Their unique patented brand of rock n' roll has been making huge noise in their hometown of Winnipeg since their inception in 2006.

If you are fortunate enough to see the Gorgon live, you will surely be witness to their stage theatrics. On any given night you will no doubt see their outlandish stage costumes, but in addition you may be treated to a full Tropical Island setting in the dead of winter, have stones placed in your mouth, or even perhaps spend the evening dodging bloodied tampons. A night with the Gorgon is an experience that will not soon be forgotten.

But these ladies are much more than an elaborate stage show - The Gorgon can pen a song. Their music is pulled from an eclectic mix of inspirations including, mythology, train tracks, local characters and silent films just to name a few. Delivering a collective of their former bands, The Rockdoras, The Quiffs and Slattern, these ladies have defined a sound that is truly their own.

The rest of Canada will have their chance to experience The Gorgon when the ladies hit the road with their brand new album, "Corpse Whale", released on high - octane label Transistor 66 . This fall their shared Icelandic ancestry will take them on a journey to Iceland for selected dates as they make their way to Europe.
